Pretty Much Paleo
For serious healing we recommend using the Paleo Diet with your herbal and supplement program. Don't judge the diet by its name or make assumptions about its content. Read this section and you will see the good sense in it compared to the SAD or Standard American Diet. Its three greatest benefits are that it boosts the metabolism, reduces inflammation and unclogs the body's systems. We read a survey recently that showed that most of the people using the Paleo diet were between the ages of twenty and thirty, and obviously included many serious athletes. Well, we are not in that age group, and in fact as grandparents, we found it odd that our age group was the smallest percentage. Then we remembered how hard it is for people to change their diet. Even though the population over fifty is the group who would most benefit from the anti-inflammatory affects of this diet, very few of them will adopt it.
Part of the problem is trapped toxins. Over the years the body builds toxins in the tissue and when you use the Paleo Diet the body will start to release them, and that can be uncomfortable. The key is to do an extended cleanse through the various systems, large intestine, small intestine, liver, kidneys, blood and lymph, over six months to clean out the junk in an effective and gentle way. Then you can take full advantage of the diet and probably feel years younger.
We admit that's a pretty big commitment to restoring good health and honestly many people would rather be in pain than stop eating the foods they love. The secret is to learn to love certain foods more and see other foods as pain.
